At the rear, \u003cstrong\u003eSam\u003c\/strong\u003e is feeding \u003cstrong\u003eOscar\u003c\/strong\u003e, his beautiful and lawful Alsatian dog. \u003cstrong\u003eOscar\u003c\/strong\u003e is tasked with guarding the gate, so you better think twice before entering uninvited!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \u003cstrong\u003eOld Train Engine Shed\u003c\/strong\u003e is built with masonry bricks and features 6 large windows and 2 large doors, which allow the locomotives to enter and leave freely. Two big chimneys and a fan are used for ventilation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside the shed there is a fully equipped workshop. The large variety of machinery and tools included are: an old lathe, a vice, a bench drill press, an oxyacetylene welder, mallets, hammers and many more useful hardware.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt the very top of the building, and just below the roof, a fully working overhead crane can be used to lift and move the heavy engines of the locomotives. At the front of the shed, a pump supplies the engines with water and finally on the rear, there is a little shack with a small office and a stove.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \u003cstrong\u003eOld Train Engine Shed\u003c\/strong\u003e can accommodate a train engine up to 37 studs long, whilst its wagon can pull up at the front tracks. One is full of mining equipment and on another, we can find canned food and bottles of various liquors. On the counter, we can see a cloche of cupcakes - the muffins are baked every morning by the owner's wife. Right away a classic cash register catches the eye. In the building, we also have a stove for the colder months. On the flat roof, we see supplies of straw for the animals and multiple barrels full of liquor and gunpowder. Behind the building, we have some stock and a large barrel of water. Next to the building, we can also see a cactus and a shriveled tree.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLook! They are magical places where a large part of the stories of our lives are written. They are places of transition, of unsummoned crowds, of anonymous glances, of waiting, thought and reflection. I must say that I love being in them and watching what happens there… Their aromas (not always pleasant), their sounds, their colors and light\/shade. I’m always propelled to ask myself: where is that person going? What is she\/he reading? What are they about to eat?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUndoubtedly the multiple European train stations I have been to and the memories of so many moments in them have inspired this project. It is therefore not a replica of any particular station, but a kind of collection of fragments based on my own memories.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Brick Cross project aims to focus on everything that surrounds a train station.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the Build\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI’ve made this design with the intention of providing a building experience with many different variants. The journey to the windmill is too dangerous to travel, until, that is, a young village boy discovers a map marking a hidden route to the Windmill. The Ocean House is the home of the boy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the aesthetic 'design pillars' of the theme is the combination of nature and man-made structures. The other is a vivid and rich palette, I think maybe my favorite feature of the Ocean House is the bright multicolored cladding that runs around the facade. I am really happy with the way it turned out and I think offers a pretty unique sight in LEGO\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne of the biggest design challenges was the order in which the set was constructed and how the decking should mount onto the legs, I am happy with the solution as I found when building that it wasn't bad taking it off and putting it back on, etc.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere is the passage of the story that introduces the Ocean House:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe boy started home with the map tucked away safely in his satchel. Could it really lead to the Mountain Windmill, and what if it did? He wasn’t about to set off into the valley to find out. He decided to put it out of his mind for now.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eIt was dusk when the boy's house came into view. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe house stood on stilts above the water. Blue flowers grew knotted and thick across the roof. The boy’s father had removed the flowers a few years ago but they returned defiant, so he had decided to let them be. The boy liked the way the flowers looked, as did his mother, though they had started to damage the roof.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eTheir old fishing boat was tied to the jetty and rocking gently on the tide. The boy liked to sit in it occasionally and read, or just watch the fish swim around the legs of the jetty, enjoying the protection it offered from the open water.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe boy's cat meowed and brushed against his leg. The smell of cooking fish wafted over the sand towards him, and his stomach grumbled. He bent down and scratched the cat behind the ear before the pair of them headed up the ramp toward the front door.
