MOCtober Challenge

We will be hosting a MOCtober Challenge from October 1st - October 20th.

What is a MOC Challenge?

MOC stands for My Own Creation - which is anything you create using LEGO®️ bricks without standard directions.

This is your time to unleash your creativity and build something amazing!

This event will take place October 1st - October 20th, on your own time.

THEME: Create a booth/station/activity at our Bricks & Minifigs Sugar Land’s Brick Harvest Festival.  You can decide what exactly that means.  Your build could be fall-themed or Halloween-themed.  We will be putting all the builds together by age group to create our very own Brick Harvest Festival.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must use a 16 x 16 baseplate.  Your build should fit in these dimensions.  Please refrain from making your build so tall that it is unstable or obstructs the views of the other builds.
  • You must include at least 1 Minifigure of your choice.
  • You need to have a title for your build.
  • Your MOC must be turned in by 6:00PM on Sunday, October 20th.
  • You must register to submit your MOC ($10 per submission)

REGISTRATION REQUIRED (October 1st - October 18th):

  • You must register to submit your build.
  • Each registration gets you:
  • One 16 x 16 baseplate
  • One free large tub of bulk to gather parts for your build
  • 20% off one minifigure in store.
  • You can pick up your baseplate & redeem discounts anytime between October 1st and October 18th.  *All discounts must be redeemed at the same time and cannot be combined with any other discounts. Some restrictions apply.

TURN IN YOUR MOC:

You can bring your MOC for display and judging anytime between October 1st and October 20th at 6:00PM.  We will announce winners on October 28th.  Please pick up your MOC by November 3rd 🙂

FAN-VOTED WINNERS:

Our social media followers will vote by liking their favorite build photos.  The 3 builds with the most likes from each age group will be the winners.

MOCs Due: October 20th 6:00PM

Voting Begins: October 22nd 10:00 AM

Voting Ends: October 27th 11:59PM

Winners Announced: October 28th 10:00 AM

There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner selected from each category. Each winner will receive a Bricks & Minifigs Gift Card. The categories will be:

  • Ages 5-7
  • Ages 8-14
  • Ages 15+
