September 2025 MOC Challenge

We are excited to kick off the cooler weather with a fun MOC Challenge at Bricks & Minifigs Sugar Land!

What is a MOC Challenge?

MOC stands for My Own Creation - which is anything you create using LEGO® bricks without standard directions.

This is your time to unleash your creativity and build something amazing!

This event will take place September 1st - 30th, on your own time.

THEME: Create a Minifigure Habitat

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Your build should fit in the required build design & dimensions listed below.
  • You must include at least 1 Minifigure of your choice.
  • Your MOC must be turned in by 7:00PM on Tuesday, September 30th.
  • You must register to submit your MOC ($5 per submission)

Build Size Requirements

  • Build base must be 8x8 studs (8x8 plate will be provided as part of registration).
  • Walls must only be on 2 sides and cannot be higher than 9 bricks.
  • Walls and objects may only hang over 1 stud in any direction from the 8x8 base.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED (September 1st-30th):

  • You must register to submit your build.
  • Each registration gets you:
  1. One 8 x 8 baseplate
  2. One free small tub of bulk to gather parts for your build
  3. 20% off one minifigure in store.
  • You can pick up your baseplate & redeem discounts anytime between September 1st-30th.  *All discounts must be redeemed at the same time.

TURN IN YOUR MOC (Due by 7PM September 30th):

You can bring your MOC for display and judging anytime between September 1st-30th at 7:00PM.  We will announce winners on October 3rd.  Please pick up your MOC by October 12th 🙂

WINNERS (Announced Oct 3rd): 

There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner selected from each category. Each winner will receive a Bricks & Minifigs Sugar Land Gift Card. The categories will be:

  • Ages 5-7
  • Ages 8-14
  • Ages 15+
